Ingredients

  • 2 Cups milk | whole or oat milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ Cup chocolate chips | milk or semi-sweet
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

½ | cup | heavy cream | cold

2 | tbsp | marshmallow fluff

½ | tbsp | sugar | optional

1 | drop | vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a bowl or jar, combine heavy cream, marshmallow fluff, sugar (if using), and vanilla. Whisk or froth until thick and fluffy with soft peaks.
  • Lightly torch the foam or toast a spoonful of marshmallow fluff separately and fold it into the foam for toasted flavor.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, warm milk until steaming. Do not boil.
  • Whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until dissolved. Add chocolate chips and whisk until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour hot cocoa into mugs. Spoon marshmallow cold foam on top. Add toppings if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cold foam melts quickly — serve right away
  • Toasting the marshmallow adds deep flavor but is optional
  • Dairy-free option: oat milk + coconut whipped cream
  • Reduce sugar if you prefer a less sweet cocoa
