Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Large bowl or pitcher
  • Spoon
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 3–4 cups cold water
  • 2–4 tbsp honey, sugar, or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Add blackberries and 2 cups of cold water to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
  • Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. Press with a spoon to extract all juice and remove seeds.
  • Stir in sweetener and fresh lemon juice. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Add remaining water to reach desired consistency. Stir well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Pour over ice and garnish with fresh berries or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe blackberries for best flavor.
  • Replace half the water with sparkling water for a fizzy blackberry spritzer.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
  • Freeze into ice cubes for smoothies or flavored water.
  • For thicker juice, skip the straining step.
