Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or whisk
  • Mug
  • Strainer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (whole, oat, almond, or preferred)
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 1 cinnamon stick | OR ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tsp sweetener (sugar, honey, or maple syrup)
  • pinch | salt

Instructions

  • Pour the milk into a small saucepan and add the cinnamon. Heat gently over low to medium heat until steaming, not boiling.
  • Add the black tea bag directly to the hot milk. Steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on desired strength. Remove tea bag without squeezing.
  • Lower heat and stir in vanilla extract, sweetener, and a tiny pinch of salt. Mix gently until fully combined.
  • Warm for another minute, then strain if needed. Pour into mugs and serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not boil milk for best texture
  • Use black tea only for proper flavor balance
  • Start with less sweetener and adjust gradually
  • A pinch of salt enhances overall flavor
  • Oat milk gives the creamiest dairy-free result
  • Best enjoyed fresh and warm
  • Reheat gently on the stove if needed
